We found the smallest tree on earth right on the edge of a cliff.

We were at the grand lookout right a sunset which was amazing!

After crashing for the night in Moab we headed south to Wilson Arch. The boys climbed to the top while I decided to stay back and photograph.

After a few minutes at Wilson Arch we continued on our way and stopped at Newspaper Rock State Historic Monument. Being journalists there is no way we could drive by such a place!  It is basically a large rock with carvings that were supposedly made around 2,000 years ago. Many of the images depict past events which is how it got the name Newspaper Rock.

After newspaper rock we made it down to the South entrance to Canyonlands National Park. This part of the park had a lot of hiking through rocks which we couldn’t do much of since we brought the dog. Little Spotty isn’t very welcomed at National Parks we have come to find out. We found some secret spots to take him though!

Somebody left us a nice message written in rock.

After Canyonlands day 2, we headed back north to Goblin Valley. We stopped at some large rock formations along the way where people were rock climbing. They got pretty high! Crazies.

We stopped at an Indian Ruin along the way and then at a few viewpoints for the Colorado River.

We also stopped at Natural Bridges National Monument. It was super hot outside by then so we didn’t stay there too long.

Last up on our extreme Southern Utah trip was GOBLIN VALLEY! By far the best place we went to. We only had about an hour there before the sun went down which was a shame because it was so neat. You were allowed to walk through and climb on all the “Gobblins.” Spot was in doggie heaven!

Well that was our weekend. The drive home was pretty painful but we were glad to get out and enjoy the last nice weekend of the year.
